Article from NYTimes Magazine about 20-somethings taking longer to ‘transition’ to adulthood than in previous generations. 

from the article: “The traditional cycle seems to have gone off course, as young people remain un tethered to romantic partners or to permanent homes, going back to school for lack of better options, traveling, avoiding commitments, competing ferociously for unpaid internships or temporary (and often grueling) Teach for America jobs, forestalling the beginning of adult life.”

Oh gosh, I found another blog to read. This guy is taking a stand against consumerism and materialism by completely eliminating possessions until he only owns 100 things total.  It’s not the only thing he write about on his blog but it’s interesting nonetheless

Article from the New York Times Magazine about how the social media phenomenon (facebook, twitter, foursquare etc) is changing the way we construct our own identities. What it says about me that I’m posting this on my blog? I’m not quite sure :)

As an only child myself, it’s always entertaining to read articles analyzing the myths of  ’only children’ and whether the stereotypes are fact or fiction.

Glad to know some sociologists describe only children like me as, ““overprivileged, asocial, royally autonomous … self-centered, aloof and overly intellectual” hahaha
